actually that is a manipulation of reality.....the "nations of the world" were shall we say "strongly encouraged" not unlike we've witnessed over Palestine's bid for statehood recently with PRESSURE being brought against many countries and full court 'diplomatic' workers who spent 6 months prior to UN assembly twisting arms and bank accounts. Older forgotten histories of the 1947 division of Palestine to make a "homeland" for European Jews post WW2 make one aware of how much pressure was brought to bear including but not limited to intimidation, threats including warning of the murder of Indian prime minister's sister for the "right" vote . actually, the problem is intolerance, hatred, and the insistence that Palestinian national rights require the denial of the national rights of the Jewish people. That's why the nations of the world endorsed the concept of "two states for two peoples" in 1947, and continue to do so today.
The occupation will end when the Palestinians agree to live in peace alongside Israel, the nation of the Jewish people.
